Karibu*, travelers!
My name is Saskia, and I’m the creator of this site. Originally from The Netherlands, I have lived in Tanzania for several years.
Over time, I have grown amazed by how much this country has to offer. But I also realized it is not easy to find reliable and independent information about it. The information available online is mostly provided by companies advertising their own tours. Moreover, this tends to be positive information only. Tanzania is an incredible country, but there are a few risks and practical challenges it helps to be aware of before you go.
This blog grew out of my own experiences exploring Tanzania and wanting to help others feel better prepared for their trip. In my posts, I don’t sugarcoat things, because I think it’s important that you have the full picture before you go. Everything is based on what I’ve personally experienced. Tanzania can be full of surprises, and knowing what to expect helps you travel with more ease and confidence.
As I continue building up this website, I will share everything you need to know to confidently embark on your journey.
If there is anything additional you would like to see here, or you’re interested in a personal consultation, feel free to get in touch using the contact form.
Stay tuned and happy travels!
Saskia
